Our MISSION
To develop and enable self-disciplined, confident and responsible young New Zealanders.
The New Zealand Cadet Forces (NZCF) is a disciplined, uniformed organisation which provides military-based leadership, personal development and operational training to persons aged between 13 and 18 years old.
LEARN TO FLY
We teach aviation theory as part of our parade nights, and organise practical Flying Training for the cadets. There is an annual National Aviation Course covering both theory and practical lessons in flying, with First Solo being a common achievement.
The Navigation course is a 1-week long theoretical and practical course covering the NZ CAA Private Pilot Licence syllabus.
As with Flying, Gliding Training is organised by the unit.
