Air Cadet Uniforms

When a Cadet joins the ATC 5 Squadron, the cadet is issued a uniform ON LOAN while the cadet is active with the unit. If the cadet decides to become inactive and quit, the cleaned uniform must be returned or the cadet is invoiced for the replacement cost. At the time of writing, the complete uniform is approximately $900-1000.

There are two main uniforms: 3B and CWD. The Cadet Working Dress (CWD) uniform is a practical, everyday uniform that cadets wear during regular training activities. It's designed for comfort and functionality, allowing cadets to engage in various activities, such as drills, physical training, and field exercises, without worrying about damaging more formal dress uniforms. The 3B uniform is typically a semi-formal or service dress uniform used for various duties and occasions. It is less formal than full ceremonial dress but more formal than working dress.
